The hardware they design and use is one  of the best in class I would say. So it lasts long even after Apple itself discontinues it’s supports it still keeps working. It is known for its hardware and software support. So people around the world use it to a large scale.

The replacement programs are like the recall programs and service programs. So there are only less complaints in service of Apple. Smart battery cases are the one of the best features that Apple introduced to make sure to extend the battery life. This was done to help extensive users and others who need more battery backup. So the case makes it simple as you do not need to carry an extra power bank. Also avoids the need for extra cables. So it servers two purpose. It protects the iPhone and also provides extra charge. So it is a two in option. Unfortunately some of the smart battery case that was manufactured between January 2019 to October 2019 had issues in charging.

The issue with the case is not like exploding or overheating that could have made more impact. The issue they had is that the battery case will not charge when plugged into power. So some of them charges intermittently when plugged in. In some cases the it does not charge the iPhone or charges intermittently. The eligible models where iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. There is no real damage caused to the iPhone in this case. So this is an accessory issue but the thing is it was released by Apple itself. Customers will have more confidence in buying the accessories from the product owner itself.

iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program for Touch Issues

iPhone 11 is one the best in model during that time and it had many new features introduced. After the launch there were a few reports on the touch screen issues that started to popup. So Apple started their investigation on this and found that only a small number of devices that were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 had this issue.  This is was found in a very small percentage of devices only.

The issue here was that the touch resource was slow or the display stops working. The screen does not respond to touch which was found to be an issue with the display module. Luckily Apple found this quick and then launched the repalcement program as usual to make sure customer first.

If your phone has the display issues or not responding to touch you can visit the replacement program page here. Then key in the serial number of the device  and submit it. It will have a check and let you know if you are eligible for this program.

Replacement process

If your iPhone 11 has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair. Also if you have repaired the phone without knowing this replacement program and paid for the service you can contact Apple for a refund.

Apple was so good about this refund as it protects the customers who have paid without knowing the issue is there. This is the point to be noted. So again Apple proves it.

Final Thoughts

There are quite a few Apple replacement programs are there in-spite of the great hardware manufacturing terms and conditions. Apple has their own Quality Control on the manufactures but still a few slip put in the way. Here we could see the cause for the battery case is related to the hardware but still Apple has to bear the cost of the replacements world wide. In the other case of screen issue on iPhone 11 the issue due to the display controller which could be manufacturer issue but Apple has to take it up for the customer.So Apple solved it with replacement.

I love Apple products due to the fact that they admit their fault in Public. So they are not worried about the reputation damage it might cause but this has increased their reputation.
