Apple is famous for the events through out the year. Now only we saw the September event in which the new launches for iPhone, IOS, Apple Watch 8 and Watch Ultra were release. Also they released Apple watch SE , Air pods Pro 2. The only new addition in this is the Apple watch Ultra. Now there are rumours about the October event to happen in 2022. Let us see what all we can expect in the October event. This is one of the most anticipated events for all the Mac enthusiasts.

Expectations in Apple October event 2022

Apple October event 2022 has raised the expectation with the rumours of the new M2 Max and M2 Ultra Chips. This can be also lined up to the new iPad and Mac pro’s. Let us have a look in detail.

MacBook pro’s

The new MacBook Pro’s with the upgraded M2 Max and M2 Ultra processors along with new kind of display. If the rumours are true then this will be the one kind of super computer in hands of MacBook Pro lovers. As already the M1 Series processors in the 2021 Macbook Pro models have proved their capacity and power. There is no design change expected. Because the design revamp happed last year and it has met the customer expectations. They love the ports that are back, which is a good sign.

The upgrade the memory, GPU, CPU and Storage which is expected might come through. The only thing that could be missed is the 3nm processors instead latest news show still we might get the 5 Nm chips. If not 3nm now then some might still wait for the 2023 event for this as this will be a new line up and processing powers will be more. As you can have nearly double the number of transistors in the same space. This will be of the original Apple Architecture that was long back introduced but not able to make is a great success because of those days limitations to the chip manufacturing technology.

I am more interested in this event to see my long wait for the new MacBook pro will come true. The results of the 2021 model has impressed me a lot. Waiting for it. If 3 Nm processor then I am sure to get one. Also need to see if the price is fine, there should not be much changes to the price segment.

New iPad pro 2022

iPad Prod which is nowadays a powerful touch device in hand. It has got all the features of laptop now.  The current iPad pro has got old as we see there was no much upgrade done recently. Now the expectations are with M2 Processor and OLED Display. As we know they have already moved to USB C connector but still there are limitations for external display and much more display extension. The Unified communication has some advantages but still the extending of display needs to happen. The upgraded USB C connectivity will be a good feature to expect in this new version.

The display might be moved to OLED which will give more improvement to the 120 Hz display. Not sure on the dimensions but the leaks suggest that the size might increase not sure. If the size gets bumped we need to see how the look and feel will be. Wireless charging might be in the cards as all of the devices are moving towards wireless charging now. Could be Magsafe will be used as like iPhone.

Mac Pro with M2 Extreme

The desktop segment will see an upgrade it seems, the current Mac pro is a beast and it is most welcomed by the digital designers, video creators and editors. The rendering is so fast when compared to the older models. This has made sure Intel processors will not be used again in these kind. Again the it could be M2 Extreme processor that can be named so. The performance will be massive with the new one if there is an upgrade. The only draw back is the price segment but it will not burn your fingers if you really need such massive power.

Apple Tv 2022

Apple Tv is one of the kind which is still alive in this market due to the fact of seamless integration. That is what I believe. As there are so many competitors in this market. They provide more features and service than this. Still the hardware quality and the performance keeps them in business. Still the 4K and 8k support might give it a boost. The new model will get a new processor, increased storage and memory. May be the Price might be reduced to meet the competition. Apple might think to reduce the cost of branding.

Home pod 2

Home pod is the smart speaker segment. This looks like the google speakers and UE booms and Alexa. There are no much updates that has been done in the past 2 years. The market is full of such kind and the leaders are Bose even though they got the beats Audio in hand. Still Apple lags in this segment. Not sure how many models we could expect as there rumours only still now for the smaller sized version.

Apple VR Headset

Apple is said to be getting into this marked soon, still no confirmed evidence are there to make sure there is a chance of this in this event. All other phone makes have this but still I would say they have also not made it 100% success. So the investment into this still too early for Apple or might have in the product road map. There was no news of preview also in any of the events. So the chances for this is so slim.

MacOS Ventura

The new MacOS is expected as usual as like IOS 16 which got released.  Ventura is public beta now which has got good feedbacks. So many new features are set to be added to this like the use of iPhone cameras, emails, collaboration tools. Need to see for the performance improvement in the older MacBook’s. This should not get them down. Already we have rumours on slowing down of machines due to software upgrades. Let us hope the performance improves.

iPad OS 16

iPad OS 16 is as like IOS 16, now we have got 2 flavours of the same kinds. They also get some improvements for cameras, collaboration and helps the improvement in display. No much difference is seen between them.  Let us get this more tested as we cannot predict with the public beta as there will be always issues with that.

Final Thoughts on Apple October event 2022

The expectations are growing up now. Because the dates are close. The final products that I expect is the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iPad Pro. Let us wait an watch for the event invite.
