Early life of Sachin Tendulkar<\/h1>\n

Sachin Tendulkar “Lord of Cricket” \u00a0was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, India to Ramesh Tendulkar and Rajni Tendulkar. His father was a Marathi novelist and his mother was an insurance professional. He has three siblings, two half-brothers Nitin and Ajit, and a half-sister Savita Tendulkar. Tendulkar began playing cricket at the age of 11, encouraged by his elder brother Ajit. He joined his school’s cricket team and even played in his first match for the school at the age of 12. He was coached by Ramakant Achrekar, a former cricketer who had coached several other notable cricketers such as Sunil Gavaskar and Dilip Vengsarkar. Tendulkar made his first-class debut in 1988 at the age of 15 and quickly made a name for himself. He was selected to play for Mumbai, India’s domestic cricket team, in 1989 and scored a century in his debut match. He was also selected to play for India’s national team in 1989, becoming the youngest player to make his debut at the age of 16. Since then, he has gone on to become one of the greatest cricketers of all-time.<\/p>\n
